When the Grand Champion Meats division was introduced, Foley Locker Inc. wanted to present their award-winning product to the retail market. Although Foley Locker produced a superior product they lacked a retail avenue. It was important that the quality of the Foley Locker would be maintained and represented in both the Grand Champion product and brand. Since this new subsidiary would include packaging, signage, as well as a storefront, the identity had to be attractive, but more importantly- functional.
This new brand has proudly moved the Grand Champion product into the consumer realm while remaining true to the friendly, knowledgeable, local butcher shop roots that the division grew from.
