After
102
years
of
serving
the
people
of
Minnesota
and
its
legislators
without
undergoing
any
major
restoration
efforts,
the
Minnesota
State
Capitol
has
truly
begun
to
show
its
age.
The
building
has
served
as
both
a
state
treasure
and
a
tribute
to
Minnesota's
heritage.
While
the
general
public
only
sees
the
exterior
facade
or
certain
event
areas,
there
is
an
entire
population
of
employees
working
in
a
deteriorating
environment.
From
exposed
wiring
and
water
damaged
walls
to
standards
far
below
what
most
of
us
would
agree
to
work
in.
Over
the
past
102
years
updates
and
maintenance
have
been
as-needed
band-aids.
When
put
in
practical
terms,
after
102
years
worth
of
physical
traffic,
technology
changes,
and
the
fact
that
it's
standing
in
a
different
world
than
when
it
was
erected,
it's
time
to
look
into
making
some
necessary
improvements.
And
improvements
require
funding.
After
researching,
listening,
and
consulting,
we
agreed
on
the
need
for
a
campaign
to
educate
the
legislature
and
ensure
the
Capitol's
preservation
for
future
generations.
We
began
with
the
brand
statement "It's
About
Time.
Literally." which
reflects
what
the
project
is
all
about.
From
there
we
created
an
identity,
informational
materials,
and
website.
As
the
restoration
project
becomes
a
key
issue
within
the
legislature
and
state,
we
will
proudly
continue
to
supply
materials,
strategy,
and
support.
