Sprint
As Sprint® PCS expanded across the country, it needed experienced wireless carriers to serve rural areas and create strong brand recognition. As an affiliate, Northern PCS signed on to carry Sprint throughout Minnesota and North Dakota. Despite Sprint’s national name, the challenge was to make Sprint a familiar, reliable name where small regional carriers had dominated for years.

With our in-depth knowledge of the Midwest market, we built and executed a strategic advertising and media plan positioning Sprint favorably against regional competition. One key piece in Sprint’s launch was a radio campaign. Designed to give listeners something new from a familiar source, we invited local radio announcers to talk about the advantages of Sprint. More than 35 announcers in nine markets gave live endorsements of Sprint (to-date) - including Mike Morris and Mark Rosen from KFAN. By planning personal-impact methods, across-the-states grand openings and rollout, Sprint was successfully introduced and quickly became a market leader.
